In each SAY: Storytellers program, Katherine Preston, the highly respected, bestselling author of Out With It: How Stuttering Helped Me Find My Voice, mentors 7-8 teens, via online video sessions.
Teens embark on this creative process to write their own story about their stutter.
Each teens’ personal story is then published in a new SAY: Storytellers book. Read a sample essay from our first SAY: Storytellers program and book.

As the culmination of our recent SAY: Storytellers program, Barnes & Noble hosted an authors’ event in New York City
Katherine Preston joined us for the event, and Sarah, one of the teens in the program, flew in from Chicago, and blew the audience away with her incredibly moving story.
Julianna, a teen in our program, performed an original song and Katherine & our Founder, Taro, read inspiring excerpts from other teens’ personal stories in our new SAY: Storytellers book. It was thrilling to see our first book sold at Barnes & Noble.
