The Songwriting Project is SAY’s 8-week online program where kids and teens who stutter (ages 8-18) explore their creativity and imagination through songwriting.
Led by SAY’s Artistic Director Travis Robertson and professional actor Danielle Leneé, and under the guidance of SAY’s Musical Director Everett Bradley and Teaching Artists, this program uses music in many forms (pop, rap, spoken word, etc.) as a vehicle to empower young people’s self-expression. No musical background or experience is required to participate!
This program is free of charge! Participants from around the globe will join peers via Zoom for our Friday or Saturday sessions. All you need is an internet connection. At this time, all sessions will be led in English.
There are two sessions available: Fridays from 6 PM to 7 PM Eastern Time, or Saturdays from 3 PM to 4 PM Eastern Time. The program, which begins on September 25th and 26th, is free of charge and open to all young people who stutter, ages 8-18.
