LIFE-CHANGING DAY CAMP FOR YOUNG PEOPLE WHO STUTTER It’s the perfect opportunity for kids & teens (ages 8-18) to meet new friends who stutter and participate in exciting activities that help build confidence. Camp is hosted in Houston, TX.
At Camp SAY, young people who stutter have endless fun while building effective communication skills, developing greater self-confidence and independence and forming important friendships.
George Springer, Houston Astros Outfielder, 2017 World Series Champion & MVP, became SAY’s National Spokesperson in 2014. Since that time George has inspired millions of people who stutter, by speaking openly about his own stutter.
More than 70 million people stutter, including 5% of all children, and approximately 1 in every 100 adults. Young people who stutter may feel incredibly isolated and alone, and many face daily ridicule, teasing and bullying. Over time, they may silence themselves to hide their stutter, embarrassment, and shame.
