Join us at Camp SAY, where young people who stutter have endless fun while developing effective communication skills, building self-confidence, and forging friendships to last a lifetime.

Camp SAY combines the highest-quality, traditional summer camp experience, with activities and programs that empower young people who stutter. We create a culture of acceptance and positivity where stuttering – the trait that many kids feel separates them from others – completely unifies them at Camp SAY.

We welcome children and teens who stutter, ages 8-18, and their young family members and friends.

Campers are engaged in a virtually unlimited range of activities, including arts & crafts, all types of sports, water activities, an equestrian program, plus broad range of outdoor activities too. If desired, Speech Therapy is available, with individual and group sessions, personalized to fit each child’s unique communication goals.

Our 2-week* sleep-away camp is located on a 500-acre, American Camp Association (ACA)-accredited facility, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains (near Asheville).

*One-week experiences and shortened stays are also available.

Camp SAY is a program of SAY: The Stuttering Association for the Young.

For Kids & Teens

In a world where kids who stutter are often mocked and misunderstood, SAY empowers kids to achieve their greatest dreams and ambitions…I hope every child who stutters has an opportunity to benefit from SAY.

Joseph Biden
Vice President

Tragically, millions of children who stutter are suffering in silence, and I'm honored to lend my voice to help SAY continue to empower children to find their own voices.

Meredith Viera
Correspondent & TV Host

To see these kids get in front of an audience and speak, which is difficult for anyone, is incredibly moving. What they do just speaks to the power of joining a group and gaining confidence.

Paul Rudd
Actor & SAY Trustee
