SAY: Speech therapy is led by a licensed speech therapist, board-certified stuttering specialist, and recipient of the Clinician of the Year Award by the World Stuttering and Cluttering Organization (WSCO).
Speech: The SAY Way!
SAY: Speech was created to support children who stutter and their families by addressing their individual needs and goals for change. We take a holistic view of stuttering, not only to address the observable features of a child’s speech but also their thoughts and feelings related to speaking, which can have a real impact on their confidence, communication skills, and quality of life.
Because stuttering and its impact vary so much from person to person—and even from day to day as a child grows—we embrace a flexible approach to speech therapy that meets each child and family where they are. Drawing on a range of evidence-based therapy approaches and input from the child and family, we tailor therapy to address each family’s priorities and goals!
While your child is our focus, SAY firmly believes that family and community involvement, including parents, siblings, teachers, friends, and others, is an essential ingredient to a successful therapy program. Speech therapy goals and needs vary by age, so SAY offers a targeted approach for pre-school-aged children, school-aged children, and teens.
