SAY: Storytellers
This exciting program helps teens discover their beautiful voices.
During the SAY: Storytellers program, Katherine Preston, the highly respected bestselling author of Out With It: How Stuttering Helped Me Find My Voice, mentored 7-8 teens via online video sessions. Teens embarked on this creative process to write their own story about their journey with stuttering.
Each teen’s personal story was published in a SAY: Storytellers collection.

SAY’s Creative Arts Programs Provide Life-Changing Benefits!
At SAY, we are guided by the belief that every young person who stutters has a voice that deserves to be heard.
SAY’s innovative and comprehensive creative arts-based programs address the physical, social, and emotional impacts of stuttering. SAY programs transform self-confidence and build crucial communication skills young people need to thrive.

SAY at Barnes & Noble
As the culmination of the SAY: Storytellers program, Barnes & Noble hosted an authors’ event in New York City. Katherine Preston joined us for the event, and Sarah, one of the teens in the program, flew in from Chicago and blew the audience away with her incredibly moving story. Julianna, a teen in our program, performed an original song, and Katherine and our Founder, Taro Alexander, read inspiring excerpts of other teens’ personal stories from our SAY: Storytellers book.
