An Inspiring Voice for all Young People Who Stutter!
George Springer has been SAY’s National Spokesman since his Rookie Year in the MLB in 2014. Just weeks after landing on the cover of Sports Illustrated, he was in NYC, meeting with the kids of SAY and sharing his inspiring story with our community. For over ten years, he has hosted SAY’s annual George Springer Bowling Benefit, raising over $1.5 million to help send young people who stutter to Camp SAY. Not only is George an inspiring, world-class athlete, he’s also an incredible role model and someone who has made a huge impact on public awareness and understanding of stuttering.
From the minute George stepped into the world media spotlight, he has stuttered openly and proudly and shared that stuttering is just the way he talks – it is just one of the many characteristics that make him unique, cool, and successful. One of the central messages he likes to share is the importance of being yourself, having fun, and not letting anything stop you from chasing your dreams. George’s amazing family, including his wife, parents, kids, and siblings, as well as his teammates and baseball community, have also been hugely supportive of SAY for over a decade, and we are extremely grateful for all of their advocacy.

SAY: Canada offers camps and special events for young people who stutter and their families throughout the year. We’re grateful to have the ongoing support of our Spokesperson, Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer, who regularly joins us to uplift and celebrate kids and teens who stutter in Canada.
Camp SAY: Across the USA
SAY’s regional mini–Day Camp weekend programs bring the transformative Camp SAY experience to cities across the country. Camp SAY: Across the USA is specially designed for kids who stutter, providing fun, self-discovery, and the opportunity to forge lasting bonds with new friends from their area.
My Stutter Project
This unique online program offers a brave and welcoming space for young people who stutter worldwide, ages 8-18. Through creative workshops, community, and encouragement, participants build confidence, communication, and self-advocacy skills in a space where others truly understand what they’re going through.
